The Ritz-Carlton İstanbul recently reopened after investing 12 million USD into their whole property, including the renovation of 243 rooms, the ballrooms as well as other novelties throughout the hotel with the decor promoting Turkish heritage and culture.
I met with the recently appointed General Manager, Nicolas Kipper, in Dubai recently to talk about the renovations and how they will benefit visitors, his vision for the hotel, as well as the current luxury travel and hospitality trends.

According to Nicholas, a unique selling point of the property is that it has breathtaking Bosphorus views and that the rooms, suites, conference halls and ballroom at The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul boast a redesign inspired by the shapes and colors of historic Istanbul itself.
The new design and aesthetic of The Ritz Carlton, Istanbul evokes Turkish heritage and the county’s rich history, combines it with the modern approaches of luxury service and technology.
He also mentions that the rooms and suites are decorated with impressive and authentic local motifs, creating a contemporary impression. Nicholas mentions that the hotel is located at the center of Istanbul, in the prestigious Dolmabahçe Palace area and is within walking distance of the city’s cultural attractions. The vibrant nightlife of Taksim and Karaköy, as well as the famous Galata Tower, are only a 15-minute stroll from the hotel, while Istanbul’s upscale shopping district Nişantaşı is a stone’s throw away.
In terms of services, Nicholas mentions that the hotel concierge provides guests with a variety of services including transportation to the nearby hot-spots in luxurious electrical cars, even offering a self-driving experience.

Nicholas talks proudly of the hotels elegant restaurant, Atelier Real Food that offers a very rich brunch menu on Sundays.
