Nizar Adeeb is currently the new Area Director of Sales and Marketing of Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara, the luxury brand’s first resort in Qatar. Brought in to spearhead the resort’s growth across domestic and international markets, Nizar, in addition to Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara, will be responsible for pre- opening of Tivoli Al Najada Doha Hotel, Oaks Al Najada Doha Apartments as well as Souq Waqif Hotels by Tivoli.

Of Lebanese descent, Nizar is a USA citizen and has graduated recently from Cornell University in New York with a certificate of Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management. Nizar started his career in Sales and Marketing after with Marriott International in the Middle East.

After an MBA in International Brand Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona USA, Nizar continued his career in New York City managing international brands such as Marriott and Renaissance as well as Luxury hotel brands; The Plaza New York and the iconic New York Palace Hotel.

Prior to his appointment with Minor Hotels Group in Qatar, Nizar served his last 5 years as Vice President Sales, Northwood Hospitality – part of Northwood Investors.

Nizar brings with him over 21 year’s wealth of experience in managing luxury properties and global hotels chains throughout the USA, Europe and the Middle East. In his current position, he will be responsible for overseeing sales, marketing and public relations for Doha’s five-star luxury resort.

Since launching the resort in 2015, Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara has been raising the benchmark for luxury hospitality, surpassing the globe’s top brands to win a longlist of esteemed awards including “Luxury Private Island of the Year” at the “World Luxury Awards”.

Commenting on his appointment, Nizar said, “I am delighted to join Minor Hotels Group. The company’s high standards of service and excellence throughout their properties, coupled with Qatar’s evolution as a brand and destination, made the decision of moving from New York to Doha an easy one.
